Engine 4.2 litre V8

The Cadillac Evoq, shown at the 1999 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), was a concept designed to highlight the fact that technology can be physically attractive.

The 2 seat Evoq concept, like most contemporary Cadillac products is extremely angular in its exterior design, and its interior is filled with technological innovations, including a heads up display, night-vision, rear view radar and cameras, voice activated multimedia systems, navigation and e-mail.

Designed under the leadership of GM Design chief Wayne Cherry (now retired - see the Cadillac Sixteen), the Cadillac Evoq was " - a bold statement. It is immediately identifiable as a Cadillac, and at the same time it presents itself clearly as a qualified member of the international league of luxury two-seaters," according to Cherry.

The Cadillac Evoq concept was powered by a 4.2 litre Northstar V8 developing 405 bhp and 385 lb ft of torque.
